Possibly the rarest and most valuable personal property item Pearce & Associates has ever sold!
ITEM: A hand carved, from one solid piece of mahogany, eagle chair. The owner states that she purchased the chair in Germany over 50 years ago at an auction that that included items from Nazi Germany and Adolph Hitler. Please read the description below!
NOTE: Pearce & Associates is selling a piece of history. We do not promote or glorify the horrible atrocities of the Adolph Hitler Regime. We do believe that works of art must be preserved so that future generations never forget this evil Regime.
Mrs Hartley: " I was a young lass. My father was a high ranking Air Force Pilot in the Italian Air Force. He was very fond of Mussolini and a true believer in Fascism. We traveled a lot and every time he read of an auction or sale mentioning Mussolini or Hitler merchandise, he would be one of the first to attend. We were in Germany attending a private, by invitation only auction displaying items represented as belonging to the Reich or Hitler. The chair came on the auction floor and was portrayed as being built for Hitler. It was hand carved from one solid piece of Mahogany or Rosewood with no nails or glue. It was represented as the German Eagle clawing a big snake which was to represent the jewish people. The lore was that the chair seat slanted towards the ground because Hitler had short legs. It was tilted with the wings built high so his torso would be erect and his short legs and feet could touch the ground. As a young lass, I was impressed by the history and fascinated by the incredible work in the chair. Father bought it for me and I never parted with it.
Documentation: Pearce & Associates has examined the chair and cannot find any markings or signatures. We have attempted to research other furniture and decorative items belonging to Hitler and cannot find anything online. We have had Mrs Hartley to hand write her story and have it notorized. We will provide the winning bidder with the original story as well as photos of her father.
If you are able to research and document this chair, it could become an extremely valuable item fetching well over 1 million dollars or more!
Condition: Excellent! No damage or cracks.
Inspection by appointment only during weekdays.
